Terms and Conditions

This policy is a guideline for acceptable use of your Sentex internet account. All Sentex customers are responsible for ensuring that these terms and conditions are met. These policies are fully explained in the Acceptable Use Policy. Click Here if you have questions you would like us to answer.

  1. You are responsible for ensuring that your computer meets the minimum system requirements: 486, 8MB RAM, 14.4k modem. If your computer does not meet these requirements Sentex is not responsible for any connection difficulties you may have as a result.
  2. You are responsible for getting and maintaining any software required to make use of your Sentex connection.
  3. Sentex will offer support for configuring internet and email programs, but cannot provide support for other system software.
  4. Sentex provides no warranties for any internet or email or other connection software you may run on your computer. We assume no responsibility for any damages that may result from the use of such software.
  5. All accounts include shell access. You are responsible for ensuring that use of this account does not result in damage or disruption to Sentex internet service.
  6. If you suspect someone may be using your account without your permission you are required to notify Sentex immediately. Otherwise you are responsible for any damages caused by such unauthorized use.
  7. Spamming (sending out unsolicited commercial email) is prohibited.
  8. You may not have a business website on a residential account without prior permission of Sentex Communications.
  9. Renewal invoices are sent out by email 30 days before payment is due.
  10. Accounts are payable in advance, and you agree to pay all regular fees when they are due. If your account is at any time overdue, it will be placed on hold and your internet access suspended until such time as all outstanding invoices have been paid.  If your account has been put on hold, you will be required to make automatic payments by credit card from the time it has been put on hold forward.
  11. Violation of the terms and conditions of use will result in termination of your account. For serious violations, Sentex will terminate your account without notice.
  12. If your account is terminated because of violation of these terms, no refund will be issued.
  13. If you request that Sentex cancel your account, refunds will be issued by cheque and may take up to 8 weeks. You will be refunded the unused portion of your subscription (only for each full month unused).

Please Note the Following Account Information

  • Accounts are created upon receipt of payment and billed in advance.
  • Cancellation requires written notice.
  • Cheques, if any, should be made payable to Sentex Communications.
  • If a payment is returned as "Insufficient Funds" there will be a $20.00 NSF charged. Your account is also subject to immediate suspension.
  • HST is required.
  • All monthly services require pre-authorized payment via bank account or credit card.
  • You will be invoiced by email 30 days before your account expires.
  • Payment is required, in full, 30 days from the invoice date.
  • Paper bills available upon request.

Additional Terms and Conditions for Sentex High Speed Service

  1. You are responsible for ensuring that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. For Windows systems: Windows XP, dual-core processor, 1gb ram, and free pci slot for ethernet card. For Macintosh systems: Mac OS X and newer. If your computer does not meet these requirements Sentex is not responsible for any connection difficulties you may have as a result.
  2. Resale of bandwidth or any other part of the High Speed service provided by Sentex Communications, for any purpose, is strictly prohibited.

We reserve the right to terminate any account which violates any of these terms of use.
